THE CLIENT

Gerle Financial Communications is a consultancy group for companies operating in the financial sector. Primarily, their clients work in life insurance, asset management—both wholesale and institutional—and private equity.

Gerle are specialists in communications for foreign investment companies—particularly those which have recently entered the German-speaking market or have plans to do so in the near future.

They offer a whole gamut of services; from strategic consulting and media work, to corporate publishing and investment writing. With three decades of experience in corporate communications, journalism and PR, Gerle have amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field.

THE BRIEF

Creative Solutions were contacted by Gerle Financial Communications with an interesting, if fairly unique, request. The consultancy group was planning to start a podcast which provided financial advice and information to investors and investment funds. The client needed us to create some artwork and a backdrop for their new venture.

Although there was sepcific design idea in place, the client suggested that we either use the company logo, a portrait of Hagen Gerle himself (founder and potential podcast host) or a combination of both. The client then provided us with a series of images from which we could work.

Whether you’re creating a podcast or need a stylish backdrop for a video conference call or meeting, Creative Solutions have a versatile range of products for the job. Our team can design and print in stunning high-definition any image you require, on a variety of different substrates. From our popular Pegasus Tension Banner—perfect for exhibitions and backdrops—to printed ACM panels, trust us to find the best design solution for your project.

THE SOLUTION

We liaised with the client at every step of the design process. After receiving the portrait of Hagen Gerle and the company logo, Creative Solutions went about creating a backdrop for the podcast.

The client was presented with a number of different design choices. To keep in line with the nature of the business, and the podcast’s content, we wanted the aesthetics to be refined and simple. We experimented with a series of different compositions of the portrait and logo—in one example, we applied soft focus to the company name, which provided an interesting visual effect. Ultimately, it was this design that the client preferred.

We sent Gerle a large, high-definition image file which is now being used as their podcast backdrop, the first episode of which was released at the end of May 2020. The overall aesthetic of the digital design is superb and instills in the project a sense of professionalism and quality.
