New Office Location Signage & Internal Display for SFL Flues & Chimneys
THE CLIENT
SFL - A Sphering Company
SFL is a leading prefabricated chimney manufacturer in the UK, and has been operating for over 50 years. With all that time, they have gained a wealth of experience in flue & chimney systems across Residential, Commercial, and Industrial markets.
As part of its next chapter, SFL has completed an extensive rebranding following its recent acquisition by the Sphering Group (Sphering is the market maker in Flue and Air Care across Europe). The new branding has been rolled out across the website and social channels, aiming to become a valuable resource for understanding their business values, solutions, culture, and commitment to their people and customers.
SFL under this umbrella had also recently acquired new premises in Barnstable, North Devon, which aligned perfectly with getting this made into new signage, displays and more to take ownership of the site.
THE BRIEF
New Location Office Signage & Displays
Recently taking over their new site in Barnstable, SFL were in need of rebranding the site for the business.
Our team initially went to Barnstable to do a full site evaluation, and discuss the vision for the overall look and finish, display locations, and budget for each signage piece.
We created this short run-through video highlighting the main installation pieces, including Powder Coated Steel Tray Signs, Stand-Off Lettering, Printed Artwork, as well as Typography Wall Graphics, Core Values & Mission Statement and display plaques throughout the building.

EXTERNAL ENTRANCE SIGN

Folded sign trays are a really versatile and cost-effective way of creating flat signage that offers a stylish alternative to a flat panel or board sign, and that neatly hides away fixing rails. We offer a choice of Aluminium, ACM (Aluminium Composite Material), and even Illuminated 'Flex Face' Tray Signs buyable through our website, but can also quote for custom creations made of Stainless Steel, Acrylic (Perspex), or any material that can be folded without compromising itself.
For SFL, they wanted a clean and sleek white Aluminium Tray Sign, clearly displaying the Sphering Group Logo. This sign measures over 2 meters wide, and is fixed to the wall behind on two railings. Each of the larger steel letters is individually screw mounted onto the tray, with the smaller letters bonded with a strong adhesive.

Signage and displays in recent years are incredibly forward-thinking, innovative, contemporary and includes sharp design elements. Acrylic offers a bountiful display option due to its incredible versatility. Clear Acrylic Signs need to be eye-catching to make a good first impression on customers or visitors. To create a contemporary and clean display, we flame-polish the acrylic so it has a glass-like finish, without the risk of shattering or going cloudy with time.
Each display (right & far right below) is printed in reverse and applied to the back of each acrylic panel to remain easy to clean and highly reusable should you wish to refresh or change your display in the future. The panel is mounted with stand-off locator sign fixings to give the display boards the perfect amount of depth and authority, this mounting type also helps with sound-dampening in large rooms and conference areas.

Cut Vinyl Wall Graphics
TYPOGRAPHY: KISS CUT HI-TAC FULL COLOUR PRINT MATT LAMINATED
Each of the four pieces uses Full-Colour Printed Hi-Tack Matt Laminated Vinyl, expertly installed by our team as you can see in the images below. Great for putting your organisations mission statement and core values in highly visible areas, this installation is in the teams conference room so is ready to be viewed by staff and visitors to the site.
These printed vinyl's are plotted from your own artwork designs, or crafted with help by our in-house design team. Checked against the proofs, they are then de-weeded and cut, ready for application. We house a range of vinyl's suited to any surface, and can help guide your vision from concept to print for any space.

ACM Signage & Displays
SIGNS: VINYL FACED ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) is an incredibly cost-effective and versatile choice for both internal and external signage and display pieces. It can be cut to any size, easily fixed in place, and faced with either a direct print, or a vinyl overlay for full-colour vibrancy and longevity.
You can see here a large sign created for the second site building (right), and numerous parking signs to help with visitor wayfinding below. These are fitted with screwed snap-fix locators to remove visible fixings from the face of each sign. We also created several display plaques detailing SF Limited's company ethics and mission statement (below) fitted with chrome finish stand-off locators.
Our long-lasting vinyl applications are printed onto high-performance vinyl with either a 1, 5 or 7-year guarantee. This variety allows you to assess how long the signage needs to be in place if you have any upcoming plans to refresh your branding or vision, as well as be assured your sign is going to look great for years to come. As the ACM will always outlive its vinyl application, it means you can re-face your signage time and time again without having to replace everything.
