THE BRIEF
Directional Signage & Updated Displays
For this project, there were two signs on the site that would need updating, and another new sign to be created. To be able to see the signage placement and take accurate measurements for the replacement pieces, we conducted a site visit to speak with the Cricket St Thomas team and talk them through what we could create and design aspects they wanted to include.
When signage starts to look tired or off-brand, it can really effect visitor perceptions. Old, tired, dirty, and sometimes even dysfunctional signage that displays the wrong information, an old logo or a wrong contact number can adversely effect everything from visitor numbers, sales and brand perception.
New and/or improved signage sparks the interest and attention of both potential and existing customers as they either pass by your business, or are a regular visitors on site. Regulars will notice quite quickly if something has been updated for their benefit, deepening the trust they have for you and their perception of the business as a whole. Secondly, an improved sign may use better and more durable materials thus increasing the longevity of the signs and increasing how far your investment will last.
The largest of the 3 was the main wayfinding signage located at the entrance of the reception and welcoming area. This was cluttered, dated and since the business has moved some areas around, was no longer displaying the correct information. In this change-around, the Chapel was to be replaced with a fitness facility, and therefore needed a new sign on the exterior of the building, as well as over the door once inside.
