Uffculme Academy Trust is an established and values-driven MAT (Multi-Academy Trust) in the beautiful South West with a simple, yet powerful mission, to deliver an excellent education to all of our children so that they can go on to lead happy and successful lives which make a positive contribution to their communities.

Currently under the Uffculme Academy Umbrella are Axe Valley Academy, Neroche Primary School, Uffculme Primary School, Uffculme School, and Holyrood Academy where we had the pleasure of working on this creative project installation.

Over the past few years, we have been heavily involved in working with many multi-academy trusts in the South West including Acorn MAT for new external signage across the schools, and Beacon Education for a rebrand and new school signage.

THE BRIEF

A Calm Community Space

You really can turn any room into an inviting and engaging space with our custom-printed wallpaper! Holyrood opted for two feature wall installations, one closest to the cafeteria area, and another spanning the long wall at the end of the dining hall.

The first features dark blue with a warm brown text showing DINE IN, with cutlery detailing behind. The second captures the variety of tree tops visible in the local area, turning them into a block print style mix of warm blues, greens and browns to match the furniture.

Whether it be a one-off feature wall or an entire room, we can print any image you like in stunning high definition straight onto wallpaper, ready for a paste-and-apply application either by ourselves, or DIY.

For Holyrood Academy this was exactly the case, large display areas demand a highly visual installation, especially when making that first impression for visitors. The team had recently completed the building which was incredibly light and spacious, however, lacked branding, colour and the vibrancy that comes with creating an environment for people to slow down, relax and enjoy some good food.

Installed with conventional decorating techniques, our pastable wallpaper range is printed in glorious full colour. Even in some of these seemingly awkward spaces in alcoves, around corners or with cable covers cutting the space, our team can work with these and manipulate the materials to form to these with no issues!

Being able to see the process through concept, design, proof, and final installation is how we make sure our quality throughout is second-to-none, and you get nothing less than the best.

For each of these incredible wallpaper prints, we used a High-Performance Digital Vinyl with High Tack 'MetaScape' System finished with a protective matt laminate. The high tack adhesive of MD5A-H has been developed to apply to 'difficult to stick to' surfaces, smooth low energy plastics such as PE and PP, and for interior wall decor applications. The added benefit of the 'MetaScape' adhesive system, offers faster and easier application by providing air with an exit route from under the graphic.

A high-traffic environment like a cafeteria, hallway or entrance area is going to need to be laminated for water protection, and extra scuff resistance and stand for years to come, whereas a classroom, office or staff area wallpaper at a minimum is going to need to be scratch-resistant.
