Van Graphics for Roger Oates Design

THE CLIENT

With a studio and head office based in Eastnor, Herefordshire, Roger Oates and Fay Morgan Oates have been designing and handcrafting flatweave rugs and runners for more than three decades.

Thanks to the evolution of the Venetian flatweave process, Roger Oates Design have embarked on a number of creative experiments with colour, texture and pattern within their rugs and runners—the studio now has more than 100 individual designs currently in their range. This uniquely British product has established itself as a true design classic, furnishing floors and stairs all across the UK and beyond.

THE BRIEF

Roger Oates Design got in touch with the team here at Creative Solutions looking for some new high-quality vehicle graphics for their dark grey company Volkswagen Crafter van. The graphics would need to be minimalist and refined, based on the studio’s simple and elegant logo. An aesthetic that would reflect Roger Oates’ status as a modern design company.

THE SOLUTION

We supplied the client with cut-vinyl vehicles graphics for their company Volkswagen Crafter van. On top of the dark grey substrate we applied pale grey vinyl for both the company logo and byline, and the website address.

The overall aesthetic of the graphics is beautifully understated; the stripped-back design and subtle colour palette creates a tasteful lasting impression. The artwork also harmonizes perfectly with the company’s existing branding; that which can be found at their studio and on their website.

The client took delivery of the new van a very happy customer; not only has new life been injected into the vehicle, it now perfectly represents the company’s contemporary nature. Fine work all round.
