Vehicle Graphics for C G Fry and Son Ltd

THE CLIENT

The construction firm C G Fry & Son began life in the picturesque Dorset village of Litton Cheney, just after the First Worlds War. 80 years later, the company still resides in the village—although its operations are distributed across the south west of England.

Since 1992, the firm has overseen the construction of more than 600 new homes, offices and shops in Poundbury—an experimental new town on the outskirts of Dorchester in Dorset.

Poundbury put the name of C G Fry & Son on the map as a pioneering regional construction firm. The company now operates in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.

THE BRIEF

As a first-time client, C G Fry & Son contacted Creative Solutions looking for us to supply printed vehicle graphics for their company transit box van.

For a South West-based construction firm like C G Fry & Son, van graphics are a crucial advertising tool and go a long way towards maintaining strong brand identity. Because of the large, flat dimensions of the box van, high-quality prints applied to the side of the vehicle will act as the perfect mobile billboard—displaying properties and house interiors to the public.

While the van travels between projects, the C G Fry & Son name and their work will be presented, in stunning high-definition, to hundreds of potential customers.

THE SOLUTION

After receiving the artwork from the client—which included a series of high-definition images of various properties and interior design profiles, as well as the relevant company branding and contact information—we supplied C G Fry & Son with printed vehicle graphics for their company transit box van.

We printed the images in full-colour wide-format onto premium self-adhesive gloss white vinyl and applied a protective laminate finish—which renders the artwork fully waterproof and UV resistant.

As the images were the main focus of the project, in that the properties needed to be presented in their very best light, it was decided that we would print in full colour at 2880dpi, which is the highest photographic quality we offer.
