What size are shell scheme panels?
The UK standard shell scheme panel is 950mm wide by 2340mm high, used with Octanorm and similar modular frame systems across almost all British exhibition venues. Most trade shows use this standard, but panel sizes can vary by organiser, so always check the specification pack from your event before ordering.
Our products are sized to fit the standard, with seen graphic areas that cover the full panel face cleanly between the vertical uprights. If your organiser specifies a non-standard size, we can print to your exact dimensions. Upload your event's panel spec or send us the organiser pack and we'll confirm your sizing before production.

Which material is right for your stand?
Choosing the right shell scheme material
We print on four core materials, each suited to a different type of exhibitor and a different budget.
Rollable graphics are the most popular choice for regular exhibitors. Printed on a flexible film that rolls into a transport tube, they're lightweight, easy to transport, and straightforward to install with supplied velcro pads. Best for exhibitors attending multiple shows in a season, or anyone who needs a display they can store and reuse. Prices from £151 for a 3x2 back wall.
Rigid Forex panels are printed onto 3mm or 5mm PVC foam board, cut precisely to panel size. They give a flat, premium finish with no rippling or curling. Best for one-off high-impact exhibitions, product launches, or buyers who prefer the look of a solid panel over rollable. Prices from £437 for a 3x2 back wall.
Premium Magiclad seamless graphics are our top-tier option. Instead of individual panels separated by the shell scheme's vertical uprights, seamless Magiclad graphics use shell clad clips to hide the uprights entirely, giving you a continuous print across the whole wall. This is the option for buyers who want a bespoke-looking stand without the cost of a custom build. Prices from £657 for a 3x2 back wall.
Recyclable Xanita graphics are printed onto white-faced cardboard-like Xanita board. PVC-free, recyclable, and a strong choice for exhibitors with sustainability commitments or those exhibiting at eco-conscious events. Performance equivalent to rigid Forex on stand but lighter and fully recyclable after use. Prices from £504 for a 3x2 back wall.

What are the best shell scheme materials for the panels?
When choosing shell scheme panels, there are three primary options for your graphics, and three options for how you wish to display your graphics:
What are my options for displaying graphics?
In-Fill Panels: In-fill panels are fixed directly to the shell scheme walls between the metal uprights that make the shell scheme stand. Your graphics can be mounted with velcro or magnetic tape.
Seamless: Seamless graphics include Shell Clad Clips which attach to the shell scheme metal uprights. Your graphic panels then attach to these instead, creating a seamless display wall, like mounting wallpaper drops flush together.
Freestanding: Freestanding graphic displays stand in front of your exhibition stand walls, but do not attach to them. These options will include a hardware frame and fabric graphic ‘sleeve’.
Rollable Shell Scheme Graphics
Description: Flexible graphics that hang like wallpaper drops. They can be rolled up for easy transport and storage.
Benefits: Lightweight, highly portable, cost-effective, and easy set-up. Ideal for all exhibition stand sizes and events held further afield of abroad. Recyclable PVC-Free option also available.
Usage: Quick and easy installation, suitable for standard shell scheme frameworks.

The sizing of each panel or ‘drop’ is dictated by the size of stand, and brand of shell scheme the exhibition venue has booked. We can work with clients and their exhibition guide booklet to work out these sizes for them. We can also supply simple transport tubes or a range of professional transport cases and bags for graphics and hardware.
Rigid Shell Scheme Graphics
Description: Solid panels made from materials like PVC, foam board, and Recyclable Xanita Print.
Benefits: High-resolution prints, durable and sturdy materials, providing a sleek and professional look.
Usage: Best for longer exhibitions and permanent displays, or larger exhibition stands that will receive high foot traffic in more open locations, offering a robust and stable option. Can be used with Shell Clad Clips for seamless display walls.
Graphic Display: In-fill or seamless

Each panel is supplied at full size, with most shell schemes being 2.4m tall. This will require a larger transport vehicle to ensure safe delivery and removal from the event venue.
Fabric Shell Scheme Graphics
Description: A free-standing system that sits right up against your shell scheme stand walls. High-quality fabric graphics that can be stretched over the frame system.
Benefits: Seamless and vibrant finish, reusable, modular, and easy to install. Accessories including lighting, shelves and Monitor brackets are also available.
Usage: Perfect for creating a high-end, polished appearance. Ideal for brands looking to make a lasting impression.

These do not fix to the shell scheme walls and offer a modern and modular alternative to traditional shell scheme panel graphics. All kits and bundles have been crafted to fit within most shell scheme stands width, height and depth limitations for a hassle-free exhibition display alternative.
What is a shell scheme made up from?
A typical shell scheme consists of:

Framework: Usually made of aluminium or another lightweight metal. These create the uprights and horizontal cross beams at the top and bottom of a stand to create booths of almost any size.

Panels: These are then fixed to the framework, and are the surface onto which your graphics attach. They can be made from various materials like PVC, foam board, or fabric.

Supports and Connectors: These hold the panels together and keep the structure stable.

Lighting: Essential for highlighting your graphics and making your stand more inviting. These are normally offered as an extra when booking your stand and are rented from the shell scheme builder.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which size my shell scheme is?
Your event organiser will send a stand specification pack with exact panel dimensions. Most UK shell schemes are 950mm wide by 2340mm high per panel, with stands built from multiples of these (a 3m back wall is three panels wide, a 6m back wall is six panels, and so on). If you can't find the spec pack, email us the event name and we can usually confirm the standard used at that venue.
How long does production take?
Ten working days from artwork proof approval. Proof approval typically happens within one to two working days of you uploading artwork, so the full turnaround from order to delivery is around 12 to 14 working days. If your event is sooner than that, call us. We can often prioritise production when there's a valid event deadline.
Can I reuse my graphics at multiple events?
Rollable, rigid Forex and Magiclad graphics can all be reused across multiple events with proper care. Roll or flat-pack them into the supplied transport tube or case between events, avoid creasing, and they'll hold up across several shows. Xanita is also reusable but better suited to one or two events before recycling. Banner Vinyl is designed for single use.
Can I have the same design across multiple panels for a seamless look?
Yes. On standard rollable and rigid panels, the vertical shell scheme uprights will show between each panel, so your design needs to account for that break. On our Premium Magiclad system, the uprights are hidden by shell clad clips and the design runs continuously across the full wall width.
What artwork do you need, and what if I don't have any?
Print-ready PDFs at full size in CMYK with 3mm bleed are ideal. High resolution JPEG, PNG, AI or EPS are also accepted. If you don't have artwork, our in-house design studio can build it from your brand assets, a sketch, or a brief. Design fees are charged on 15-minute increments, with quick layouts often free of charge.
What if my event uses a non-standard panel size?
We print to any panel dimension. Upload the organiser's spec pack or send us the measurements and we'll adjust the artwork templates to match. There's no additional charge for bespoke sizing.
Do you offer a price match?
Yes. If you find the same product at a lower price elsewhere, we'll match it. Details on our price promise page.
What's included with a full stand kit?
Stand kits include all printed panels for your chosen wall configuration (back only, L-shape or U-shape), velcro fixings or shell clad clips as appropriate to the material, a transport tube or drum for storage, and full installation instructions. Design support and digital proofing are included as standard.
