THE BRIEF
Baguettes, Beach Essentials, Accessories & Ammonites
The team at Holmbush got in touch looking to install several new window graphics and a new main sign for the perfectly situated shop in the popular hill-top car park. Famous for its fossils, and wanting to embrace the Lyme Regis unofficial emblem, the ammonite, they were able to provide us a detailed design brief for direction and coverage, as well as imagery we were able to replicate and take lead from.
We worked with the team closely to make sure we had captured the vision for their installations, as well as the abundant offering of goodies available in the shop. Each window graphic was dedicated to these, with a design replicated for the inside and outside of the main entrance, and the outside side door.
At Creative we are to produce window graphics as bespoke as each of our clients. We host a full range of window films to cover all finishes and levels of opacity to suit your design brief, branding and length of time it is needed for for both internal and external application. These can be digitally printed in full-colour for vibrant installations like those here for Holmbush, or Grove Nurseries Circus-themed seasonal display. We can also use a single colour which is cut into the desired pattern, lettering and design; you only need to walk down into Lyme Regis to see The Lyme Bay Cafe & Bar's recent window vinyl lettering installation on the high street. There is almost no limit to the uses of printed window film. You can also have multiple colours and types of window vinyl layered to create stunning effects.
This vinyl installation needed to be able to withstand the season's changeable weather and temperatures, as well as incredibly exposed position near the sea on top of the hill. Factors such as sunlight, high foot-traffic and the usual bumps and scrapes that come with being in a working area are also taken into consideration when we choose the vinyl base material and overlaminate for each project we complete. It also was due to be a permanent installation, so life expectancy needed to be high to make sure the vinyls looked great for years to come. We used a superior quality vinyl that has a permanent solvent based adhesive for an extra long life-expectancy and resistance to the elements. It is coated in a protective laminate to protect against UV as well as give colour vibrancy. Our expert team are able to install the vinyls in large sections, making installation a swift and easy process, with each vinyl sheet perfectly sized to its corresponding window or door.
For the new fascia panel a highly popular signage material is used. ACM (Aluminium Composite Material) can be cut to any size, easily fixed in place, and faced with either a direct print, or a vinyl overlay for full-colour vibrancy, longevity and ease of renewing in a few years time. Our Long-lasting vinyl applications are printed onto a high-performance vinyl with either a 1, 5 or 7-year guarantee. This variety allows you to assess how long the signage needs to be in place, if you have any upcoming plans to refresh your branding or vision, as well as be assured your sign is going to look great for years to come. As the ACM will always outlive its vinyl application, it means you can re-face your signage time and time again without having to replace everything.
