THE SOLUTION
Artwork printing can take many forms and be done on even more types of canvas. Traditionally this will be done in a framed photography format, or on fabric canvas. As sleek and sophisticated, forward-thinking specialists, we were able to work with Heavers through James to devise a new and brilliant way of displaying seamless wall art for all the prints required. MD5 Hi-Tac Full-Colour Print Wall Vinyl allows full flexibility when it comes to shape, size, finish and longevity. Heavers wanted a matte finish to reduce glare on the imagery, and the printers were set to work bringing the iconic Devon landscape to life.
In total we produced eight large-format prints, applied to the walls of the showroom to add colour and vibrancy to the exceptionally clean white space. This Hi-Tac Vinyl acts as a large sticker, and when expertly applied, can last for years with no bubbling, ripples, flaking edges or peeling.
The final and ninth piece to be printed was by far the game-changer, and being seen from across the showroom naturally draws your eye by its sharp resolution, bright colours, and sheer size. At 5-meters long, this floor to ceiling mural of the beautiful Colmer Hills panoramic sunset is applied to the wall like wallpaper. The technology for printing has come so far, with more variety, choice, textures and print options now available on the market; you can see from our website a fraction of what we can offer, and as creative souls are always happy to discuss your perfect solution.
Contacting a high-class local photographer like James will allow you to access a plethora of their work for printing with permission, and if you're in need of inspiration, sites like Pinterest are great places to start. When you're ready, the better resolution an image has the better it will look when blown-up for wall-sized murals. We recommend sites like Shutterstock for high-resolution images that are in print-ready resolution.
