Axminster source their products from all over the globe, while making sure to support a variety of specialist UK businesses. With more than 17,000 product lines, a multitude of brands and ranges available in-store and on their website, Axminster have a long-standing reputation for having the most extensive tool and machinery range in the UK.

THE BRIEF

Axminster Tools & Machinery contacted Creative Solutions about creating some retail signage advertising a collection of fixture and fittings systems available at the store. We pride ourselves on being experts in the field of point of sale signage. We are able to cut signs to any size and shape—to fit any retail environment—and are capable of printing graphics onto any surface. Just recently, Axminster Tools & Machinery themselves ordered a range of POS signage that was printed directly onto 3-4mm thick wood.

We understand how important effective shop signage is to a retailer—and we work hard to accommodate all of our client’s exacting requirements. Here at Creative Solutions, we work closely with our customers, giving them full access to our in-house design team. Our aim is to bring to life fit-for-purpose signage of unmatched visual quality.

THE SOLUTION

The client supplied us print and production-ready artwork for our design team to work from. The graphics came in vector format— this meant we could custom cut the image to shape with our production machinery.

We then supplied the client with 8 point of sale signs, each printed directly in full-colour onto 2mm thick card with a shaped top.

Eco-friendly cardboard is one of the many substrates that Creative Solutions can print onto— and a material choice we would recommend for display situations such as this. These white-faced sheets of card are available in either falconboard, honeycomb—or, as was best suited for this retail brief, there’s a thin card option. Despite being a relatively inexpensive surface to print on, as you can see from the photographs, the image quality is not compromised.
