Window Vinyl for Palmers Wine Store

THE CLIENT

Palmers Wine Store is a well-established wine merchant based in Dorset. Through constant tasting and assessment, Palmers have been able to cultivate a wide and varied selection of wines, from numerous old and new world regions, that offer quality and great value.

They believe that buying wine should be a pleasurable experience, whether it’s online or from their Dorset store. And, to help promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of wine, Palmers host regular tasting events for their customers.

THE BRIEF

To promote a number of different products and services on offer, Palmers were looking for a range of printed vinyl window displays for their Dorset store. The selection of vinyls would be viewed both internally and externally, taking advantage of the shop’s large window areas. 

The aim of the brief was to create clear and impactful visual communication for customers inside the shop and those potential customers walking past. Each of the graphics, whether they were advertising free local delivery, vintage ports or cask ales, needed to be bold, engaging and easily readable.

Fortunately for Palmers, we have plenty of experience when it comes to designing and creating high-quality window graphics, in a number of different retail and business sectors. 

For any local business in the Devon and Dorset area, effective window displays can be the difference between attracting a customer into your store or them wandering past; deciding to purchase a box of merlot, or looking elsewhere. It’s important to get it just right.

THE SOLUTION

We supplied the client with four printed vinyl graphics in total. For those viewed externally, which promote free local delivery and the various alcoholic products available in the store, we opted for a large uppercase typeface in pristine white on a blue background to achieve maximum visual impact. The design is unfussy and easily-readable, perfect for outdoor retail signage when the aim is to convey information quickly.

For the internal windows, the graphics are equally uncluttered and clear. Beautifully printed bold white lettering, with a slight textured effect, on a chalkboard black background. For the graphics advertising cask ales, we included a high-definition image of a local IPA barrel for an extra visual dimension.

The window vinyls are of the highest quality and certainly achieve their intended purpose; clearly and efficiently displaying vital product information. The client was delighted with the range of graphics we provided.
