THE CLIENT

Patryk Skibinski, the owner of the business, offers fresh, authentic Asian dishes for private parties, meetings, outdoor events, garden parties, festivals, carnivals: anywhere with Oriental catering needs.

Yummy Tummy are fully equipped to cook onsite at events, or, alternatively, can do the hard work in their professional kitchen and simply deliver the food to the client’s door.

Skibinski also attends local market towns, where he prepares fresh cuisine daily at his temporary stall. The company intends to pop up in Taunton, Bridport, Honiton, Axminster and Exeter in the near future.

THE BRIEF

The client approached us with some visuals that he wanted reproducing, for his company’s social media accounts and for their black Mercedes Vito delivery van. Patryk required us to produce both graphics and fonts for his catering business.

The brief outlined that the imagery and typography needed to be eye-catching, while also displaying some of the delicious food on offer at Yummy Tummy. We discussed some the font options, the food imagery and certain layout ideas.

THE SOLUTION

We designed and created the logo so that it had a bright key-line around the primary red colour, which ensured it would be clearly visible, even while the vehicle was moving. The client had very specific imagery in mind, but these concepts were of a much smaller size. We tackled this by repurposing these images onto a collage on the rear of the vehicle.

The result was some striking promotional graphics, which stand out on the panelling of the black van. The food looks bright, vibrant and, importantly, delicious. The colourful font also catches the eye on the dark background.

The vinyl used for this project was Metamark MD5 AirEscape with a laminate gloss finish. The overall cost of this brief included set-up, printing, laminating, plotting, weeding, and the application of graphics.
