Signage, Retail Graphics and Vehicle Branding for Groves Nurseries in Dorset

Creative Solutions has delivered a varied range of signage and branded graphics for the Groves business, covering both Groves Nurseries & Garden Centre in Bridport and Little Groves Nursery near Beaminster.

Although the two locations are connected, they serve customers in different environments. The Bridport garden centre includes a broad mix of retail departments, visitor facilities, and outdoor sales areas, while Little Groves is a smaller sister nursery specialising in plants grown on-site, including herbs, vegetable plants, and herbaceous perennials. The signage, therefore, needed to maintain a recognisable family identity while responding to the practical requirements of each location.

The challenge

The project covered a wide range of customer-facing and operational applications across two distinct nursery sites.

At Groves Nurseries in Bridport, signs and graphics needed to support navigation through a large and varied garden centre environment. This included identifying departments, communicating services, supporting retail displays and guiding customers between indoor and outdoor areas.

Little Groves required signage that suited its smaller nursery setting while making the relationship with the wider Groves brand clear. The finished work needed to give the Beaminster site its own recognisable presence without making it appear to be simply another department of the larger Bridport garden centre.

Across both locations, the wider requirement was consistency. Different sign formats, materials and installation settings all needed to feel connected, whether used for permanent wayfinding, promotional messages, retail displays or vehicle branding.

The solution

Creative Solutions produced a coordinated range of signage and branded display elements for use across Groves Nurseries and Little Groves.

At the Bridport site, directional and department signage helped customers move through the garden centre and identify key retail areas, services and facilities. Wall-mounted signs, hanging signs, freestanding displays and branded retail graphics were selected according to the viewing distance and practical needs of each location.

At Little Groves, branded entrance and identification signage gave the nursery a clear presence while retaining its own name and character. The wider work also included bespoke point-of-sale displays, promotional graphics, window graphics and branded vehicle graphics. Together, these elements carried the Groves identity beyond a single sign or location and created a more consistent appearance across the business.

The use of consistent branding across signs, retail displays and vehicles also strengthens recognition beyond the two premises, giving the business a professional and joined-up presence across West Dorset.
