Shop Signs for Axminster Tools & Machinery

As a trusted, family-run business, with over forty years’ worth of experience in the sector, Axminster Tools are now at the vanguard of the mail order tools and machinery industry.

THE BRIEF

Creative Solutions have established a healthy working relationship with Axminster Tools over the years. Recently, we have been involved in a series of different rebranding and marketing projects—including the design, fabrication and installation of Flex Face signage at their Basingstoke store, and high-quality vehicle graphics for their company vans.

A partnership like this is great news for Creative Solutions. Indeed, for an ever-evolving company like Axminster Tools, the whole design and execution process for new products is streamlined considerably.  Axminster know that any graphic design feature they order—from point of sale signage to vehicle graphics—will be delivered with the same exacting standards every time, by a design studio they can trust.

For this project, Creative Solutions would be printing and installing shop signage for their Axminster store—shop signage that would be following the same brand guidelines as recent design projects for the client. We got straight to work!

THE SOLUTION

For the fascia sign, we supplied the client with a full-colour self-adhesive print, finished with a matte laminate and applied to 3mm ACM 0.3mm skin board. The overall dimensions of which measured 5640 x 1640mm. Because of the size of the sign, it was installed in four sections, measuring 1410 x  1640mm.

To best accentuate the quality of the display, we also installed an LED Stryder slimline troughlight, which, at night, would illuminate the new signage. The light was powder coated in RAL 9005 black.

As with previous projects with Axminster since the rebrand, the quality of the print cannot be beaten. The new logo direction is both modern and stylish—and we feel we’ve done the artwork justice with this stunning-looking shop sign.
