Recyclable Wooden Signage for Kaupeka

THE CLIENT

"‘Kaupeka’ is a place for everyone. A spot that captures moments in time and celebrates the world around us." - A brilliant Axminster-based organisation born during the Pandemic. For Halloween 2021, Kaupeka held "Thrill On The Hill",  a spooky Treasure Hunt in local Trinity Woods, and we helped kit the team out with lots of great printed Plywood Signage for wayfinding the walk.

As a Wild Cafe, Kaupeka is pretty remote - tucked away on Trinity Wood road, they are claimed to serve the best coffee in Lyme Bay! 'Kaupeka' translates to 'the seasons' in Maori, and their wonderful cafe updates its offering to suit the time of year. Serving foods and drinks from local suppliers, this brilliant little hub suits its ever-changing surroundings perfectly. We recommend all walkers and visitors in Trinity Woods a little respite at Kaupeka come rain or shine.

THE BRIEF

Our client was in need of a wayfinding, directional signage to mark the walking route through Trinity Woods for their "Thrill On The Hill" Halloween event. Being a small company founded in a time of closure and country-wide reclusion, what a brilliant spark to create a business for the one thing never closed off to us during the pandemic - Nature... and coffee.

Ethically-minded and wanting to be sympathetic to the forest, nothing would have suited better than a wooden signage option. These would be decorated with a Kaupeka designs for traditional Halloween spooks like Vampires, Pumpkins and Werewolves and 'Haunted Mansion' style directional arrows to keep you on route.
