Glass Print for Axminster Property

THE CLIENT

Axminster Property are well-known property developers working in Axminster and the surrounding Devon area. They provide their clients with a range of properties available for immediate purchase. Their extensive portfolio includes residential buildings, office developments and retail spaces.

Their core aim is to supply high-quality buildings, with premium interiors, situated in desirable locations.

THE BRIEF

Axminster Property had an interesting project for us. They wanted us to print a detailed map of Axminster town centre highlighting all the different shops, food and drink establishments and points of interest in the area.

The full-colour graphics would be printed directly onto glass, framed, and fitted with LED lights to create an eye-catching display for tourists and residents of the Devon market town. The addition of the LED lights would give the map the useful dimension of being illuminated and visible at night.

Having worked with Axminster Property on a number of different projects over the years, including vehicle graphics, shop signage and a recently donated window display in support of NHS workers, we were delighted to be working again with a valued, long-term customer.

THE SOLUTION

We provided the client with a full-colour direct print map of the Axminster town centre. The studio was able to prepare the print-and-production-ready artwork from the file supplied by Axminster Property. The artwork was then printed onto the reverse of the glass and backed in white ink for a stunning final aesthetic. The print measured 830 by 572mm, a good 10mm smaller than the glass in order to fit inside the frame.

We also supplied the LED lights and transformer to illuminate the map at night. The client chose to install the display themselves outside Trinity House in Axminster. The final product is of the highest standard. The map’s detail and graphics are razor sharp and bursting with colour thanks to the quality of the print. Job done!
