Wooden Counter Signage for Axminster Tools & Machinery

THE BRIEF

Axminster Tools & Machinery Skills Centre required wooden signs they could use at their Skills Centre. We've taken on many requirements for bespoke printing so the requirement for print on wood was not an issue. The brief for this project was to have an eye-catching and professional sign, without sacrificing quality.

The vinyl-wrapped print was to be installed locally on a custom built counter which was designed to show off all the different wood types and finishes they can produce at the centre. This is the latest printing projects we have completed for this high profile client.

Our expert team consulted with staff at Axminster Tools and Machinery to decide on the best design and we advised on the surface finish for the optimum application.

THE SOLUTION

As the Skills Centre were providing the material for the signs themselves, we installed the finished print on site. It's not unusual for our team to travel nationwide to install our products, although, on this occasion, this was a company very local to us.

The final design was printed using Metamark MD5 Polymeric High Tac Vinyl which can be used on low energy surfaces such as wood or plastic, complimented with a matching Matt laminate. Here at Creative Solutions, we pride ourselves on quick turnaround time, and as such, we were able to get the job done in just one day.

We were happy with the results, and the direct print signs looked both attractive and professional - wood printing always gives pleasing results. The finished sign got the seal of approvement from our own designers and fitters, who take pride in seeing the end results in situ and reconfirming our long-standing working relationship with Axminster Tools & Machinery.
