FOAM-X® offers a wide range of excellent properties including its high stability despite its minimal weight, excellent print substrate, and smooth surface, making it exceptional for a versatile range of indoor applications.

FOAM-X® is widely used in signage, exhibitions, interior design, PoS/PoP advertising and displays, modelmaking, shopfitting, and printing. It can be nailed, screwed, riveted, or adhered to any surface as required, it can even be hung using hook supports or keyhole fixings. Please note fixings are not included.

What thickness of FOAM-X® (Foamex) should I choose?

We offer 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, and 10mm Foamex to choose from to offer the best range when it comes to your display use. Whatever thickness of Foamex board you choose, it is very light so it can easily be fixed wherever you need it – for example, it can be fitted to walls or hung from ceilings, slotted into frames, or A boards.

We've given a brief overview below of its most popular uses depending on thickness, however, if you have any questions about which one will be best for you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

2mm and 3mm Foamex Board is mostly used for indoor signs and graphics. We do not recommend it for outdoor signage and display as it isn't rigid enough to meet the changes in environment and weather it may be exposed to, however, can be used for very short-term outdoor usage for 1-day events and such. 5mm or 10mm thickness sheets are commonly used for Exhibition Graphics, and Outdoor Signage. It can be fixed to walls, fencing, or display frames like A-Boards, and can be screwed, riveted, adhered with high-bond tape or glue, or hung.

What FOAM-X® (Foamex) finishes are available and how long do they last?

• Direct Printed, Unlaminated - No Guarantee - Short/Medium Term Usage (For those on a budget, needing short-term signage)
• Direct Printed, Laminated - 3-5 Years - Medium-Term Usage (Choose from a Matt or Gloss Finish applied to your board to offer print protection from scuffs, UV damage, increased colour vibrancy, enhanced weather resistance, and more.
• Vinyl Wrapped & Laminated - 3-5 Years - Medium-Term Usage (Your design is printed onto high-performance laminated vinyl which is adhered to your Foamex. This offers the most colour vibrancy, longevity, and print protection and is incredibly hard-wearing. When no longer needed, the vinyl can be removed from the Foamex and recycled separately, or, your board can be re-wrapped for your next display project!)

Sizing and Postage: Due to additional courier charges, your board may need to be cut into multiple panel pieces to allow for the most efficient postage.
