Trailer Graphics for RAC Recruiting

The Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) provide the armour capability of the British Army. Their specialism is fighting vehicles with regiments deployed around the world. The Corps was first created in 1939, by combining Cavalry units with the Royal Tank Corps. The Corps has 14 Regiments. 10 are Regular and 4 are Reserve.

THE BRIEF

Create and print graphics for the Corps trailer

We were contacted by the RAC who wanted to rebrand their Corps trailer to better fit their new messaging. Their existing exhibition trailer was used for recruiting, and it would perform the same role only with a fresher message. With the new graphics, they wanted to feature the Army Tank and Corps logos prominently. We were also asked to remove any old graphics from the trailer and install the new graphics as part of the project.

THE SOLUTION

Print and installation by our experts

Our in-house studio liaised with the RAC graphics team, who designed the trailer graphics, to ensure artwork was correct for installation and that the fitted graphics were befitting of their recruitment message.. Once everybody was happy with the design (visual can be seen below), printing began at our site in Axminster.

For the trailer graphics, we used a MD5A Full Colour Vinyl Print, with a Matt Laminate applied to the trailer. This production enabled us to create a near-photographic vinyl with extremely crisp graphics. The template for the trailer was created in-house by ourselves, to ensure a perfect fit for our installers.

Installation took place as soon as the trailer was available. This was delivered to us and we installed the vinyl graphics at our site in Axminster. Installation took around a day due to the size of the trailer. A flawless finish was achieved. The graphics should last for several years, but they can be easily removed should the Corps’ recruitment message change.
