New Aluminium Composite Signage for Ramer Ltd

THE CLIENT

Since 1946 the Ramer name has become synonymous with the manufacture of high-quality sponges for a wide variety of personal care uses. The first production line was housed in a disused gymnasium in Pimlico, London and the first year’s entire produce was bought by the Elizabeth Arden Cosmetics Company.

Today, Ramer remains a family company and is the UK’s leading manufacturer of super-absorbent and super soft sponge products for beauty and body-care, supplying customers in the UK and Worldwide. All Ramer sponge products are manufactured in the UK at their purpose-built facility in Devon which nestles in the rolling hills of the Otter Valley.

THE BRIEF

Ramer Ltd wanted a brand new sign for the exterior of their manufacturing HQ. The old acrylic text has been in place for a few years and was starting to look dated and tired. To future proof the signage and add a new look to the building, Aluminium Composite Material was chosen due to its serious long-term benefits:

THE SOLUTION

Signage has to be given very careful consideration to fit with your business branding, location and resources. As the first thing a customer may see coming to your site of trade, it makes the first impression, and if designed and installed correctly, can become a well-known image recognised by many.

We headed to the Ramer Ltd site and got to work removing and patching the area the old signage was mounted to. Using a scaffold tower, with the design brief in-hand, our installations team set to work mounting the new ACM creation into its new home. The large text now stands proud on the industrial estate, with the simple, clear and effective company logo and patented Ramerfoam logo displayed either side.

It was a pleasure to work with Ramer Ltd for this project and converse ibn the afternoon sun. A big well done to all involved!
