Bespoke Wooden Signage & Copper Lettering for River Cottage HQ

River Cottage have given millions of TV Viewers a taste for good cooking since 1998. Established by multi-award winning writer and broadcaster Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, the River Cottage HQ is home to an award winning cookery school, dining experiences, a premier events venue as well as a state of the art Chefs school.

The well-renowned River Cottage enlisted the help of Creative Solutions to provide signage and display for the River Cottage HQ in order to promote the brand and assist in customers navigating the area.

The main bespoke wooden sign was manufactured in-house. We used metal stand- off letters made from steel in order to create a rusted effect.

The bottom letters were made from copper to create a ‘glow’ stand out effect.

Directional signage was created around the area to ensure people could navigate the area easily on open days. We colour coded the signs, with each colour representing a different area such as nature trail (orange) or general direction (white). The signs were post mounted and featured powder coated metal to ensure they last outdoors.

The result was a stunning sign upon entry to the River Cottage HQ, a clear representation of the brand with a unique, naturalistic design that really catches the eye. This was supplemented by the directional and information signs placed around the grounds.
