Based in Melplash, Dorset, Steve Toms offers all your garden maintenance essentials as well as tree surgery, hedge cutting, and garden waste removal.

Whilst on the lookout for a business to complete his vision for his vehicle branding project, he luckily spoke to neighbour ACDC Electrical who happily recommended Creative Solutions based on the design work and installation of his own works van!

THE BRIEF

Turning A New Leaf

Our client wanted to make sure their works vehicle was completed renewed and looking ultra fresh when it hit the roads, touring the South West completing works and being visible 24/7 in the local community.

Steve came over to our unit for us to assess his vehicle, and also chat about his vision for branding with our in-house Graphic Design Team. He offered up great visual concepts as well as a recently produced branding guidelines document so we could easily access his colour schemes, fonts and contact details.

It was decided that the trucks body should be wrapped in a high gloss white, not only to offer a clean base, but also to contrast against his green business graphics as well as offer protection to the manufacture silver underneath given the nature of the business.

Whilst the truck went in for its last fixings at a local garage and to get new tyres fitted, this offered a great time to start digitally recreating Steve's truck and illustrate exactly how the new graphics will look on the vehicle once in place (see right).

Colour Change Wrap & Custom Brand Graphics

Once Steve approved his digital artwork proof, the Installations Team got in touch to book the truck in for the two days it would be required and work could commence!

COLOUR CHANGE WRAPS

We host and can source the full spectrum of single colour-change wraps, or full colour print onto a premium range of cast self-adhesive vinyls to give your vehicle a bespoke finish. This is a high performance material that is right at the sharp end of print media technology. We can wrap all features and edges on your vehicle including door stays, wing mirrors and more for a complete colour change service.

Steve Toms works vehicle was completely wrapped in a high gloss white vinyl. All finishes have a unique transparent coating that aids colour vibrancy, wrap durability, appearance, protection and offer a 5-7 year life expectancy when installed in a professional environment with the correct tools and control parameters.

CUT VINYL VEHICLE GRAPHICS

We create our range of vehicle vinyl graphics from a top of the range, high performance calendared vinyl that has an incredible life expectancy when facing all the elements have to throw at it. Our cut vinyl vehicle graphics come in a massive range of colours, textures and finish options to suit all business branding, colours, and guidelines. We can also custom print vinyl applications so you can use images and patterns to really draw attention when your on the road.

We were able to source a vinyl in Steve's brand colour, aptly named, 'Forest Green'. Once plotted, weeded and backing sheets applied ready for installation, the colour change wrap and the aluminium truck bed were cleaned for a perfect application surface.

Our Graphic Designer wanted to explore a more creative way to employ Steve's logo and re-imagine it onto the bonnet of the truck. You can see from the initial concept above and the finished installation the better surface coverage of the design and perfectly sized text to compliment to main feature of the logo design.
