Branding and Sign Design for Herbies

Herbies Dino Bar came to us 5 years on from having their original branding and signage done from Creative Solutions, with the brief of a complete brand refresh. The client was looking for a contemporary, wholesome and family friendly appearance that retained the character of the company. Working alongside our head designer Leigh, a complete new look and feel was created for their seafront kiosk and company stationery.

Leigh sought to create a strong and recognisable brand with a quirky twist. Herbies Dino Bar is based on Lyme Regis seafront metres from the sea, so we opted for a wood effect and strong typography to create a 'surfers' vibe, ensuring a contemporary feel to attract young clientelle as well as standing out from competitors. We advised the client to streamline their menu offering to create clearer call to action and making the signage as simple and effective as possible.

Once the design was approved by the client, it was down to our production team to print and install the signage. The work featured full colour self-adhesive print and matt laminate applied to 3mm ACM boards with wrapped edges. The boards were made to measure to allow a seamless transition from the old signage to the new. The signs were then installed on site in Lyme Regis.
