Business Signage for Dirt Bike Bitz, Exeter

Formed in the spring of 2006, DirtBikeBitz is the fruition of Doms idea to open a UK based internet retailer, with the intention of providing a whole new level of experience in online motocross, mountain bike and road bike shopping. Fed up with being unable to find a decent online shop from which to buy my gear, he decided to do it himself and provide both the site, functionality and service that he would expect. 

Dirt Bike Bitz commissioned Creative Solutions to help move across the company branding to new premises in Exeter, Devon. The goal was to create the signage based on a sticker Dirt Bike Bitz regularly use.

Working with our graphic design team, the sticker was adapted and digitally recreated on-screen as part of the brief. In order to make the sign 3D and make it more eye-catching, it was decided a raised front section would be included to add depth.

After an initial site visit to finalise measurements and feasibility, the main oval-shaped sign and grungy style rectangle were cut to shape using our CNC router. Measuring at 2.2m wide and 1.5m high, the flat panel ACM sign had laminated full colour printed vinyl applied to it. It was fixed to the building with batten cladding in order to give a raised appearance, with black and white screw caps to fit in with fixing points and the lettering. The raised part of the sign was then fixed on top of the oval backing with the addition of a stand off batten.
