PROJECT DETAIL

Woodscott Joinery are purveyors of the finest handcrafted Joinery. The business was founded by Scott McCarthy in 2002, with the aim of producing a broad range of bespoke wooden furniture and architectural joinery.

Woodscott Joinery approached Creative Solutions with the task of helping with a rebrand and multiple marketing projects including logo redesign, van graphics, business card design as well as a magazine insert design.

Scott McCarthy, the founder of Woodscott Joinery worked closely with our head graphic designer Leigh. The first port of call was redesigning the logo, retaining the featured tree in the previous logo with a contemporary and sophisticated upgrade. Scott initially came in and sat down with Leigh to work through his requirements, and to give Leigh a chance to find out more about the business and get an understanding of their ethos and branding.

Leigh produced four different logo designs, one of which was selected and any adaptations required were added. A core concept of the logo design was to ensure that it was multi-functional, so it could be used on a business card, a letter head or vehicle graphics all with equal effect.

Next was a magazine advert for an upcoming industry press release. Leigh sought to create an upmarket advert that helped Woodscott to stand out from competitors, providing suggestions on what images could be used and how best to promote the brand.

Woodscott also asked Creative Solutions to design double-sided business cards featuring the new company logo that carried the same branding as the other designs.

The final part of the branding project was to re-brand the company van. This was a challenge that really got the creative cogs turning for our designers. Incorporating the company tree in the logo, a fantastic innovative design was created with the tree shaping up the rear of the van. The van really stands out and will no doubt turn a few heads as they drive throughout Devon and the South West!

Woodscott were a pleasure to work with and we look forward to partnering with them again for any future projects.

Time lapse video showing Ben 'weeding' the vinyl ready for application on the van. This is essentially where the graphics have been pre-cut to shape by a machine, and are the excess is being peeled away leaving just the vinyl.
