Shop Signs for Indica Interiors

THE CLIENT

Specializing in beautifully handcrafted homeware, carefully-selected contemporary gifts and art pieces, Indica is a much-loved family business that’s been trading for over a quarter of a century.

Indica’s founder and owner, Amie, has two charming stores in the UK; one situated in Guernsey, while the other, opening its doors in November 2017, can be found in Lyme Regis on the stunning Jurassic Coast.

THE BRIEF

Amie from Indica got in touch with Creative Solutions looking to discuss some shop fascia signage ideas for her Lyme Regis-based store.

An intelligent, well-executed shopfront display is a surefire method of attracting customers to your store. Indeed, there’s little use in having a beautiful collection of homeware and handcrafted gifts, if the potential shopper isn’t first lured in by an engaging shopfront.

Fascia signage can celebrate the very essence of your brand, and, for a potential customer, it gives the first impression of your company.

Indica stocks stylish and contemporary gift ideas, so the signage needed to reflect that in its aesthetic. Using the company’s simple lowercase font logo, we felt that applying cut vinyl graphics to a painted fascia would be the best modern sign choice for Amie’s Lyme Regis store.

THE SOLUTION

After the shop’s 4490 x 730mm fascia had been painted with a deep dark blue, the Creative Solutions team applied the matte white vinyl graphics.

The artwork was minimalist to the extreme. The simple lowercase font ‘Indica’ logo, in pristine white, along with the ‘29’ referring to the business address, creates a modern, stylised shopfront—one that perfectly embodies the Indica brand. The signage sits perfectly with the products in the window and the stripped-back aesthetic of the store.

Amie was thrilled with her new fascia signage and looks forward to welcoming customers back to the shop as soon as possible!
