THE CLIENT

South West-based Cornish Mutual is a household name everyone recognises this side of the M25. An Insurance company founded in the fields of Cornwall in 1903, Cornish Mutual likes to keep its feet firmly planted on the ground (or in the mud!). Moving with the times, they create sustainable, protective, and adaptive processes and products, striving to offer their clients the best services possible.

Owned by its own members, it is clear they offer services based on honesty, integrity, and our continuously ambitious in their goal of looking after each other. Local specialists in a countryside county, as are we over here in Devon, we were proud to assist them in this task when they called.

In need of a refresh, our client contacted us for a job lot over several locations to overhaul, update and install a mix of window and door vinyl decals, aluminum composite board signage, and deliver several new notice boards for internal usage.

THE BRIEF

Several sites were in need of some TLC, so we set to work developing the pre-supplied artwork sent across from Cornish Mutual. These spanned a range of products needed for sites in and around Bridgewater, Frome, South Molton, Exeter, and Holsworthy Market.

First, we established that the old signage needed to be removed, as well as old and dated window and door decals, discoloured over time or peeling. Old branded signage was also in need of removal to make way for their shiny new additions.

Cornish Mutual needed nothing short of perfection to match the brand's ethos and offers. Of course, Creative Solutions were happy to deliver this and completed all necessary work in just two days.

THE SOLUTION

The largest piece created for this job was the white wall-mounted panoramic-scale aluminium composite board sign, now fitted in the Exeter Livestock Centre. Fitted in two seamlessly joining sections, complete with screw holes and covers, the outside of their business now looks much brighter and welcoming within its larger home.

Several locations required updated window and door vinyl stickers including large banner style decals at the top, and informative text stickers on the doors and windows. Old pieces and any residue were removed, creating a blank, clean canvas for the new stickers to be applied. Printed on gloss vinyl, we created several sized decals to adorn the inside of the glass. Expertly placed, these can last years with no shifting, bubbles, and sit perfectly aligned with spirit-level accuracy.

Sticker vinyls can be created in any size, finish and shape, and applied to most surfaces, with any graphic you require. Our in-house Design Team can help you prep any artwork, or you can supply us with made-ready documents we can transform for you into your vinyl decals.

Lastly, a smaller aluminium composite board was created for the site at Holsworthy. Mounted on the wooden exterior of the entrance, and fully colour printed, this piece was finished with a matt laminate for 7-year long protection from the elements. The brilliant white new sign boldly contrasts the wooden frame of this particular site.
