Van Graphics for Pug & Puffin

THE CLIENT

Pug and Puffin is a unique gift shop where customers can purchase items for their beloved dogs— and themselves! Mugs, clocks, cushions, coats; all manner of dog-themed items are available, all alive with Pug and Puffin’s trademark distinctive style.

Situated right in the heart of Lyme Regis, Dorset, the company is run by Martin and Jenny Wiscombe. A large amount of the products sold are designed and created by the Wiscombes themselves, who’ve converted a section of their shop into an on-site workshop and studio. Many of these beautifully individual designs are unique to the store and not available anywhere else.

And, if you can’t make it to their Lyme Regis shop, then you can catch them at Crufts every year!

THE BRIEF

Martin and Jenny from Pug and Puffin contacted us about creating some signage for one of their blue Volkswagen delivery vans. They would provide us with the company logo, the eponymous dog and bird, from which we would trace and create vector files for production.

The client wanted a striking, bold aesthetic to the graphics, something that was visually prominent but also encapsulated their unique, artistic brand.

THE SOLUTION

Our team at Creative Solutions created three separate cut-vinyl graphics for the company vehicle; for both side panels and the VW van’s rear. The design in each case was the same: the image of the pug and puffin, with the company’s distinct stylized name above it.

The white gloss vinyl wrap used for the logo and company name, on the dark blue background produced an effective and eye-catching final result. One which the client was very pleased with. Best in show!

For this project, the final price included plotting, weeding and the application of the graphics. The client was delighted with the end result.
