External Noticeboards for Canvey Island Baptist Church

Canvey Island Baptist Church is a small, community-based church in Canvey Island which needed something special building for a big occasion.

THE BRIEF

David McDowell of the Canvey Island Baptist Church recently met our team at Christian Resources Exhibition, where he asked about a new sign for his church. About to be ordained as a Baptist Minister, he wanted to get something eye-catching to mark the event.

THE SOLUTION

When David first contacted us, he had an idea of what sign he wanted but wasn’t sure what the best solution was. After providing lots of information, we were able to come up with a solution that suited his needs, deciding on a post-mounted sign with a poster display case attached for changeable information.

Wanting to install the sign themselves, we created a custom shaped aluminium sign that would be attached to the external noticeboard. The sign was cut to its exact shape on our specialist cutting equipment and powered coated in yellow. This made the sign look eye-catching while adding 15 years of protection.

On top of the sign, we printed the church name and logo as a permeant header. In addition, we also mounted a powder-coated blue Horizon AP poster holder board on to the face of this yellow sign. This board was fully weatherproof and had a magnetic backing which allowed them to attach and change posters as needed.

David was over the moon with the finished result, stating that “It's even better than I thought it would be”.
