Printed Acrylic Display for Holiday Inn

Holiday Inn Ashford Central is a beautiful 17th century barn conversion nestled into the Kent countryside. It offers comfortable accommodation for guests and is the perfect base from which to explore Ashford and London.

Every quarter, the Holiday Inn runs a “employee of the quarter” competition. The deserved winners of this competition are displayed prominently in the hotels they serve.

THE BRIEF

Print a full-colour display for employee of the quarter

We were approached by the Holiday Inn to print a full-colour board which would display their employee of the quarter. We do this every quarter for them after they supply us with a photograph of the employee. The brief was to design a display for the employee which would be used inside the hotel to highlight their service.

THE SOLUTION

Full-colour printing on acrylic with UV ink

Once we receive a high-resolution photograph of the Holiday Inn’s employee of the quarter, we edit the photograph to the correct proportions to fit an acrylic board. When we are happy with the photo, we send it to print. Printing is done at our site in Axminster using our state-of-the-art large-format digital printer.

We use UV ink and print directly onto the acrylic board. We’re able to achieve an outstanding quality due to our investment in the best equipment. Printing directly onto the acrylic is cost-effective and is suitable for internal or external applications.

After the display is printed, we inspect it thoroughly before shipping it to the Holiday Inn. The team at Holiday Inn Ashford Central installed the display themselves. The display serves as a great motivational tool for staff and adds a human touch in whichever room it’s placed. We can print displays like this in a matter of days using acrylic in any colour.
