Signage Design for Axe Valley Wildlife Park

We were asked to visit Axe Valley Wildlife Park to discuss signage and bringing the branding of the park up to date.

The client already had a new logo designed and was using this on a variety of materials. But consistency was lacking in the application of the new brand and also how the items were designed.

We did a site visit and talked to the clients to gain their expectations. We got a good feel for the environment and the current visitor experience.

All the signs needed to be re-done with the new logo and redesigned to be more eye-catching and engaging.

The logo is a visually strong identity and the idea we had was to use this in a pivotal way and in a consistent approach. As it is a wildlife park, we thought it would be fun to create an "adventurer" feel with a complementary typeface to the logo.

All the signage would be profile cut around the top, into the logo shape. This created a more dynamic feel to attract attention. Wherever possible we stuck to loosely based brand guidelines to ensure all the signs were consistent.

We wanted to create a family-friendly look and feel and to give the park a more clean and fresh look.
