Tick Tocks Day Nursery is a day nursery based in Axminster, East Devon. With a new premises on the Millwey Rise Industrial Estate, they contacted Creative Solutions to assist with the signage and branding.

THE BRIEF

Tick Tock Day Nurseries came to Creative Solutions with the brief of producing new fascia signage ahead of the opening of their new premises. Having already sourced quotes from elsewhere and with price a key component, they had just 5 days before the nursery was due to open and were looking for fresh ideas.

THE SOLUTION

Intitially, the key idea was to have individually cut fascia letters to wrap around the curve of the building. However, with the added complexity of individually cut letters, we came up with the idea of cutting to the shape of their logo on our router so that the sign could be stood off the wall on batten to give the 3D effect.

The Tick Tocks logo was redesigned by Leigh from a small JPEG to allow it to be used in the cut file and re-created. Once the design was approved by the client, we worked to a fast turnaround to ensure it was ready for the opening. 

After coming to us on the Monday, we had the whole job designed, proofed, approved, produced and installed by Thursday afternoon that week.
