We have decided to upgrade the material used in our standard aluminium composite material (ACM) signage, at no extra cost to our customers.
Over the last few years people have been looking to cheaper products to carry out the same sign jobs, and we do not think this is the way to create a signage product that will last for the intended lifespan. We think our customers deserve better!
In the world of ACM, there are many varying grades as there are in all materials. The difference is the thickness of the aluminium skins which sandwich the PVC core. These vary from 0.15mm (soon to be down to 0.11 skin according to the manufacturers) to 0.5mm skins. This obviously has an impact on sign life span and the uses for which it can be used.
As standard, we have past produced our ACM signs on the 0.21mm skin, which is a good quality sign product that has the same lifetime as the 7 year vinyls and laminate that we use. Allowing us to have very competitively priced signs in the southwest and nationwide.
We have never had any problems with the 0.21mm skin ACM used in our signs, but we have decided to now offer a 0.3mm ACM skin in our signs at no extra charge to the customer, ensuring a better quality sign product provided by Creative Solutions as standard. There is no specific reason for us doing this, but we want to add value to our products to benefit all of our sign customers.
