Six Top Tips For Outdoor Advertising

YOUR OUTDOOR ADVERTISING STRATEGY

Fantastic Opportunity For Start-Up Businesses

Outdoor advertising encompasses many techniques and strategies, from billboards, posters and signs to digital ads, flags and public transport advertising. The term can even be extended to include things like pvc bannersforecourt signs, and pavement signs.

Achieving success in your outdoor advertising campaign is not as simple as printing a simple graphic and buying the first available advertising space you encounter. Your approach needs to be targeted and well-thought-out, which is why you should bear these top tips in mind:

1. Use clear, simple text, in large, legible typeface.

2. Stick to one strong message, concept or idea. Put all the focus on this one carefully chosen idea to make your ads memorable and more effective.

3. Keep the design clean and simple. Experts recommend sticking to three visual elements - one image, one brand name or logo and one headline.

4. Choose your image carefully. Avoid landscapes or cluttered backgrounds and make small things bigger (i.e. jewellery) rather than the other way around.

5. Think about your target audience and the most effective way to make an impact on them.

6. Test out your idea before progressing with it. Use a test group of consumers to determine its effectiveness in different environments and importantly, at different distances.
