Some things to keep in mind about leaflets:
1. A poorly designed leaflet is destined for the bin, so invest in design time - focus on an arresting layout and copy that keeps the reader hooked. It will make a huge difference to the customer take up you receive.

2. According to research done by Mori

• More than one half of people who receive flyers prefer to receive them on Sundays
• Approximately sixty percent of people who visited an online website still prefer printed flyers over online advertisements
• The majority of adults prefer to receive advertisements on standard sized paper
• Approximately 65 percent of people receiving flyers prefer to receive their flyer inside a newspaper
• More than 60 percent of adults preferred glossy style flyers over regular paper flyers
• 64% of readers had used a newspaper flyer insert within the past month
• 29% of direct mail generates a lead every week

3. Did you know that the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act of 2006 means that in most major cities in the UK you could be fined more than £1,500 for leafleting without a permit to do so. If you are working with a leaflet distribution company they should be able to advice you about this.
