“No great thing is created suddenly.” Epictetus

As I am contacting clients who are mounting exhibitions this Spring, this quote is at the forefront of my mind.

I tend to talk a great deal about creativity, because I believe it is vitally important to every aspect of life. In our society, we are encouraged to think of creativity as the domain of 'artists', rather than the life blood of commerce, science, and just about everything else.

In business we need to embrace creativity as a tool rather than play lip service to the idea. And for many business people that can be a little challenging.

As we work towards the exhibition season this year, I want to be reminded of the basics... putting on a great show takes time, thought and meticulous planning and attention to detail. To make the most of the investment companies put into their annual shows, the preparation time, the creative time is essential.
